System utilizes algorithms to deliver real-time images of nearby humans and alert operators to potential risks.

Brigade has updated its Backeye 360 vehicle safety solution with artificial intelligence technology, adding the capability to identify humans in vehicle blind spots and prevent accidents.

The intelligent camera system aids maneuverability in challenging situations by providing operators with a 360-degree view of their vehicle in a single image. The system merges images from four cameras positioned around the vehicle and provides a real-time view on an in-cab monitor, creating a 'bird's-eye view' of the vehicle and its surroundings.

"By enhancing our Backeye 360 with AI technology, we offer operators even greater assurance that they are using the safest solutions available," said Corey Heniser, CEO, in a statement. "Our systems not only prevent incidents but also provide critical support. Brigade's AI 360 integrates into a vehicle's existing infrastructure and is compatible with our entire range of AI-powered devices."

According to the company, the key benefits of the new updates to Brigade 360 include:

  • AI technology that utilizes algorithms to deliver real-time images of nearby humans and alert operators to potential risks.
  • A high-definition, 1080p HD 360-degree image, for a view of the surrounding area in a single image.
  • Multiple viewing options including a 3D view that enables drivers to view relevant images during maneuvers such as reversing.
  • An automatic calibration process, streamlining installation and set-up.
  • System is designed to easily integrate with Brigade's HD monitors and MDR recorders, making it adaptable for a wide range of vehicles and applications.
